Optical sorting
MSort: Optical Precision
MSort represents top-notch sorting technology, covering a crucial aspect of classical separation techniques. The art of separating material streams becomes particularly evident when it comes to isolating valuable components from a mixture or eliminating impurities to achieve higher value.
Thanks to rapid technological advancements in the field of image processing and underlying hardware and software, it is now possible to economically and efficiently sort materials. This applies even to materials whose sorting was considered impossible not long ago. This technological advancement enables increasing the productivity and profitability of existing facilities and equipping new facilities with impressive efficiency.
The MSort technology in detail – Sorting with Precision
MSort relies not only on classical sorting in the visible spectrum but also on advanced detection technologies in the infrared spectrum and through X-rays. Each of these technologies enables the detection of various physical and chemical properties of the material, allowing for precise sorting based on these criteria.
Special radiation sources and suitable sensors are employed for each of these technologies to capture the necessary data. Despite their differences, all three technologies have one thing in common: the captured sensor data is analyzed using our outstanding MSort software to precisely control the machines.
